The Artists
Silvia Di Falco perfected her skills with internationally renowned masters such as William Matteuzzi, Raina Kabajvanska, R. Maragliano, Elio Battaglia, Luciana Serra, and Renato Francesconi, and Leo Nucci. She made her debut in 2004 in Catania, in the opera “Lo frate ‘nnamorato” by G.B. Pergolesi conducted by Maestro Cinzia Pennesi, in the role of Vannella, receiving positive reviews from both critics and the audience. She has toured various theaters in the United States. She has performed at the Teatro Nacional in Panama, Cairo (Egypt), Poland, Paris, and various locations in Germany, Spain, Helsinki, Turkey, Macedonia, and Croatia. She won the Audience Award at the VI International Competition “Voci per l’opera e l’operetta Carlos Gomes” in Turin. She debuted in the roles of Adina in the opera “L’elisir d’amore,” Musetta in “La Bohème,” and Gilda in “Rigoletto,” Lauretta and Nella in “Gianni Schicchi” by Puccini with the Gianandrea Gavazzeni Orchestra at the Teatro “Puccini” in Merano, the Teatro di Vipiteno, and the Teatro Kulturni Center Lojze Bratuz in Gorizia, at the Rudolf Steiner School in Vienna, the Kulturni Dom Izola in Slovenia, and in Florence; Countess and Susanna in the opera “The Marriage of Figaro” by Mozart; Zerlina in the opera “Don Giovanni” by Mozart, Rosina in “The Barber of Seville,” and Giulia in “The Silken Ladder” by Rossini. She serves as Artistic Director for various events, including the famous opera review “Italian Opera Taormina” and the international festival “Taormina International Music Festival.” She was awarded the “Woman of the Year 2016-2017 Inner Wheel” prize by the districts of Sicily and Calabria and the music section prize at the “Lions Day Awards 2016-2017.”
Angela Ignacchiti graduated with honors in Piano with P. Spagnolo and Harpsichord with M. Mauriello at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan, where she also attended the Music Education course. She perfected her skills with B. Canino, A. Delle Vigne, D. Rivera, and the duo H. Moreno-N. Capelli. She attended advanced courses in Austria, Belgium, and Spain. She has performed as a soloist, in chamber music formations, and with orchestras in Italy and abroad. She has given concerts in Italy, Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, Spain, Croatia, Monaco, France, Romania, Turkey, and Mexico. She is often invited to give master classes in harpsichord and Baroque music. She recorded the CD “Opera e non solo” with the “Art Gallery Ensemble,” which received much public and critical acclaim. She is the Artistic Director of the international season Musica in Villa Scheibler and the Note d’Arcadia season in Milan. Alongside her concert activity, she also teaches piano at IC Arcadia in Milan.
