The Artists

Manuel Epis studied Artistic Singing with baritone Giovanni Guerini after obtaining his Artistic Maturity diploma and pursuing studies in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano. He then approached vocality and Baroque repertoire, refining his skills with soprano Claudine Ansermet. In 2014, he began studying opera singing with tenor Mirko Guadagnini, later continuing with mezzo-soprano Manuela Custer and soprano Fiorenza Cedolins. He is currently a student of soprano Barbara Frittoli. He has performed roles such as Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore by G. Donizetti), Orgando (Amadigi di Gaula by G.F. Händel – Piccolo Teatro di Milano), Spoletta (Tosca by G. Puccini – Teatro Borgatti di Cento), Altoum (Turandot by G. Puccini – Bergamo), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly by G. Puccini), Edgar (Re Lear by Stefano Ranieri – world premiere), Cavaradossi (Tosca by G. Puccini – Fondazione Cappuccilli), and soloist voice (Jeanne Dark by Fabio Vacchi – world premiere at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival). In 2020, he won the Special Prize at the 1st Online Classical Voice Competition SOI, confirming his place among the finalists of the 2021 edition and winning the Audience Award. Invited to the Zurich Opera House, he has collaborated with various choral ensembles, including those of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Teatro Regio in Turin, and the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, under the direction of conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Oren, Donato Renzetti, Daniele Gatti, Fabio Luisi, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, Juraj Valčuha, Alain Antinoglu, and Asher Fisch.

Luca A.M. Colombo was a student of Ms. Midori Kasahara, Mario Panciroli, and Alfredo Speranza. He attended numerous masterclasses given by Lazar Berman, Vitaly Margulis, and Aldo Ciccolini, among others. He has won national and international competitions, launching an intense musical career that has led him to perform concerts in Europe, America, and Japan. His passion for chamber music led him to form a piano duo with Sugiko Chinen, with whom he has been performing worldwide for over twenty-five years, receiving acclaim from both audiences and critics.
